L. V. O’Connell, Director
L. V. O’Connell is a director with a background in Visual Effects and CGI based in San Diego. She’s been working in the film industry as a VFX artist and Production Designer on award winning films including: Loser, Blindness (now on Amazon), Assessing Alan, and the feature film Mnemophrenia. O’Connell’s recent film, The Answer, screened at Festival de Cannes 2017 and won an Emmy award.
Michael Johnston, Cpl. USMC Story author, Consultant
Michael is the is the source of the story for Satellite Drop. After completing Marine Corps bootcamp at Parris Island, he was sent to a Signal Intelligence training center before arriving in Scotland. He now lives with his family in Ohio.
Greg Wright, Sgt. USMC, Consultant
Greg was the Sergeant responsible for the new Marines at the time Michael arrived in Scotland. After his tour in Scotland, he spent time as a Drill Instructor at Parris Island. He now lives with his family in Nebraska.
Michael Brueggemeyer, Assistant Director/Mentor
Michael Brueggemeyer has been a commercial Director for the last 22 years. His strengths are humor and beauty, but his greatest strength is his position of being a proxy for the audience, for making their viewing experience the most powerful. He has worked on projects for MasterCard, Wells Fargo, NCR, TeraData, GM and Qualcomm. In addition to being a multiple award winner, he had the honor of having three films screen at the Cannes film fest, and has been awarded 3 EMMY’s for his work as a director.
Bill Bork, Director of Photography
Bill Bork has won Best Cinematography for Inmate 14658, The Heiress Lethal and Just A Man. The Heiress Lethal, Coverage, and The Answer were Official Selections of the Festival de Cannes.
Michael Towe, Editor
Michael is the owner of M2 Digital Post Inc. a production and post production company in Santee, CA. He has worked as an editor and producer for over 20 years specializing in corporate, broadcast and film production. In that time he has been awarded 13 Telly Awards and 4 Emmy’s for his work. Michael believes that when it comes to telling stories emotion is the key. In his editing he strives to enhance the emotion of each scene, and to leave the viewer no choice but to watch.
Annette Cyr, Producer
For the past decade, Cyr has been making digital films, balancing the solitude of painting with the camaraderie of filmmaking. Recent films include Evangeline, the short documentary A Poet’s Life and the Artists of the 21st Century. Cyr’s painting has been awarded numerous awards including an NEA Fellowship in Painting, as well as grants from Art Matters, Inc. and NYSCA, and residency fellowships at the MacDowell, Yaddo, Millay, Hambidge and Dorland art colonies.
Garrett Hope, Original Score
Garrett Hope was born into a family that valued and practiced music daily. His passion for composition and teaching led to the completion of graduate degrees from the University of Northern Colorado and the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Garrett has taught composition, music theory, music technology, and ear training as adjunct faculty at several institutions, but after completing his DMA Garrett taught as a Visiting Assistant Professor in Pennsylvania. Returning to Lincoln after teaching in PA has allowed Garrett to focus on composing new music for film, dance, choir, and band; coach and mentor composers building careers in composition; teach as adjunct at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln; and to teach guitar, bass, composition, theory, and piano at Harris Academy of the Arts. He loves working with dancers, artists, scientists, filmmakers, and music teachers.
